From our founding in 1980, the Foundation has maintained its focus on early care and education, inspired by the belief that positive early experiences lay the foundation for future learning. Our work is the legacy of our founder, Dr. Marilyn (Mickey) Segal, who believes passionately that all children should be given a chance to reach their potential. Family and community play a critical role in the successful nurturing of a child's physical and emotional well-being. Our hope is that by focusing on systems and policies that impact very young children, we will capitalize on opportunities to make life-long differences.
